Vicki Buttrose takes us on an immersive journey to the roots of the sea: the mangroves.

The interplay of colour and texture, movement and reflections convey a deep connection to nature through mixed media paintings, ceramics and film in her exhibition Nature Coloured.

Mangrove trees have a characteristic growth form, including aerial structural roots and exposed breathing roots and this exhibition considers the transitions of nature within mangrove forests as they run parallel to shorelines or tidal creek systems.

Buttrose’s meditative work explores the ever-changing nuances of the natural world; transporting viewers to untouched elements of nature and igniting a sense of connection and peace.

This exhibition invites you to immerse yourself in art and reconnect with nature.

Join us for an Artist Talk event on Saturday 18 November at 11am.
