New trees will be planted out across two Toowoomba Region parks on Saturday 28 September, as part of an initiative to increase the region’s urban forest population. This event is in partnership between Toowoomba Regional Council and Planet Ark’s National Tree Day, with Council holding this event later in the year to avoid frost damage to newly planted trees.

• Carly Hibberd Park: On-street parking is available at Velodrome Drive.

Participants will need to bring their own gloves and drinking water with them on the day. The wearing of enclosed shoes, a long-sleeved shirt, long pants, a broad-brimmed hat and sunscreen is highly recommended.

Important Information:

Our planting activity includes loose, uneven and sloping surfaces within natural bushland areas. This activity will require a reasonable level of fitness and balance with a requirement for children to be supervised at all times.
