Remnants of a Night Garden is a new body of work by local artist Monica Usher. Her desire to invoke a feeling of flight and sense of wonder from the mysteries of the night are explored via the translucent and transformative powers of oil paint. Her exploration of night life in the garden, from the cabbage moths flying about in a confused ballet of death to the fleeting colours and shapes of new growth, invoke feelings of mysteries both found and lost.
Join us for the opening event on Sunday 10 September @ 1.30pm.
An artist talk In conversation with Monica Usher will be held on Sunday 24 September @ 1.30pm.
