2018’s Classic Album project will see USQ’s music students revisit Simon and Garfunkel’s “The Concert in Central Park.”
Emerging from the 1960s folk-rock scene, Simon and Garfunkel became one of the best known duos in contemporary music – celebrated for their songwriting and harmony singing.

After a bitter split in 1970, the duo reunited in 1981 to play a benefit concert to half a million people in New York’s Central Park. The accompanying album was released in 1982 and was a commercial success – reaching number 6 on the billboard charts. The reunion however was not so successful with the duo splitting again shortly after the show.

This June, join us for an evening of classics from this legendary album including Mrs Robinson, Homeward Bound, The Boxer, Bridge over troubled water and many more!
