An exhibition showcasing one of the many successful USQ graduates in visual arts – Nic Plowman. This exhibition will display Nic’s new work with a small part of the exhibition reflecting some of his past works. This exhibition investigates the human condition.

Nic Plowman is an Australian artist with an extensive exhibition history.

Nic is a graduate from the University of Southern Queensland and QUT in Visual Arts and Education. Nic has exhibited throughout Australia and Nic’s work has attracted collectors both nationally and internationally. Noted achievements include: finalist in the 2012 Doug Moran National Portrait Prize, 2011 Duke Prize, the Sunshine Coast Art Prize for three consecutive years, 2009 – 2011. Nic was also a finalist in the London Calling Exhibition, Scream London Gallery, 2009 and is a two times finalist in the Brett Whiteley Traveling Art Scholarship, 2001 and 2006. Nic continues to create work which is both ‘profound and authentic’, discussing compelling themes with bold compositions and superb draughtsmanship. Nic’s work is largely autobiographical and explores themes of mortality, fear, triumph and masculinity.
