Permance is a solo exhibition made from particles of fired clay that has been sourced from locations of influence and significance to the artist: Kleinton, Toowoomba, New South Wales, Victoria, the Australian Capital Territory, Japan, Spain, France, Denmark, Iceland, Finalnd and the USA. The different coloured minerals and grades of clay, as a result of high temperature firing, are unable to break down as they would if left in their raw state: an irreverible process. In considering the longevity of the residue - this collected material has been turned into a series of permanent, honorary objects for display.
