On the eve of the federal election the Toowoomba Branch of Renew and DDEC are hosting a Climate Reality evening featuring Guest speaker Prof Brendan Mackey - director of the Climate Change Response Program at Griffith University, Queensland and a Coordinating Lead Author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) 6th Assessment Report currently underway, and screening the film Accelerate by 350.org Australia.

Prof Brendan Mackey will be delivering a talk entilteld 'Climate science update: what's happening to the weather and what it means for Queensland? ' In this presentation, Prof Mackey provides an update on climate change science, discusses some of the major current and project impacts of concern, and reviews the level of mitigation ambition now required.

We hope you will be able to join us and help Toowoomba act NOW for a safe climate.
