Lady Teviot Family History Workshop

The Toowoomba Library -Local History is happy to announce that Lady Teviot will be conducting two Family History workshops on the 10th of August, 2016. Lady Teviot has been involved with family history research for over 43 years. Lady Teviot is the life-time Vice-President of the Federation of Family History Societies. Lord and Lady Teviot have appeared in episodes of the television show “Heir Hunters”, which has been shown here on Pay TV. Her company, Census Searches, undertakes research into family history, probate and media research. More information can be found on her website http://www.ladyteviot.co.uk/

Lady Teviot will be talking on two topics. Parish Registers and Site Unseen. Parish Registers: from 1538 they contain baptisms, burials and marriages, the amount of information depends on what was given at the time. Details about the changes to registers and record keeping is included. Site Unseen (Internet sources for Genealogy): making the best use of the internet for research and some less known sites useful for family history research.

Session 2: Site Unseen (Internet sources for Genealogy) 4:15-5:15pm.
