OUT: Not down, IN: Now up marks the reopening of the Crows Nest Gallery.

The first exhibition for the Crows Nest Gallery since March 2020 following the unplanned closure at the onset of COVID-19, celebrates the unwavering commitment of the Gallery’s volunteer work force and their dedication to creative pursuits.

The majority of works were produced while the community isolated, meaning most artists weren’t traveling to replenish their preferred art materials. Among the exhibition are works with up-cycled and repurposed objects.

For artist Julie Sweeny, this is expressed with a pre-loved denim coat, with overstitching (Sashiko technique), while Lorayn Walcroft reached to branches from an apple tree.
