Curator conversation is a series of entertaining talks arranged by the Museum Curator and history enthusiast Jeff Powell. Jeff breathes life (and a laugh) into some of the more unusual aspects of our historyand introduces special guest speakers to do the same.

Join us on Wednesday 2 November for What they said about us: literary references to the downs presented by Peter Cullen from the Toowoomba Historical Society. Come along and listen to Peter as he draws on a wealth of 19th Century observations about the Darling Downs from early settler Katie Hume, to journalist and horse racing fiction writer Nat Gould; world renowned author Anthony Trollope and Price Alfred Duke of Edinburgh.

Contemporary Downs observers such as poet and author Bruce Dawe will also feature in Peter's talk.

Cost: Included in admission, which is Adult $12.50, Concession $10, Child (ages 3 to 15) $6.50, Family (2 Adults and up to 4 Children) $32.
