W.R.F. (Bill) Bolton, Toowoomba-based businessman and founder of the Lindsay Collection, loved bush poetry. Between 1956 and 1961 Bolton commissioned celebrated artist Ivor Hele to translate some of his favourite ballads into oil paintings which were then reproduced in his transport company’s calendars. This exhibition features the original Hele paintings and a selection of the commercial reproductions in which they appeared.

Exhibition on display 14 January to 9 April 2017.
