Does printmaking allure you? Do you wonder about what it takes to sustain a professional printmaking practice?

Join us at 5.30pm on Thursday 19 January for a Twilight Tour of Needle and Bite: Etchings by Lionel Lindsay and his Contemporaries. Bolton Library Services Officer and exhibition curator Jayson Althofer will be in conversation with Brisbane/Meanjin based artist Jennifer Long to discuss the practices of Australian printmaker Lionel Lindsay and his contemporaries and share insights into developing a career as a contemporary printmaker.

Jennifer Long works across a variety of media, raw materials and motifs, producing pieces that reflect layered narratives in response to memories, family history, collected objects and fragments from the landscape. Jennifer has been a professional artist for over 25 years and has exhibited extensively, with her award-winning works held in held in Australian and international collections. She is facilitating a printmaking workshop at the University of Southern Queensland’s 2023 McGregor Summer School.
