The 'Burstow's Christmas Wonderland' began in 2003 with a dream of creating an event where the whole community could come and experience the joy and wonder of Christmas. The Burstow family wanted to create a beautiful display of lights and provide giveaways for children. The Family saw their Christmas lights display truly become a Toowoomba tradition. In 2007, the event was re-named, Toowoomba's Christmas Wonderland, in recognition of the support Burstow's received from the entire community. In January 2008, the Burstow family officially passed on the responsibility of hosting Toowoomba's Christmas Wonderland to the Lions Club of Toowoomba West and the Club has coordinated Toowoomba's Christmas Wonderland display since then, raising donations for many local organisations in Toowoomba. To date the amount donated back to the beneficaries and other local charities has exceeded $1.235,000.

Toowoomba’s Christmas Wonderland is a family-friendly event held in the Botanic Gardens, Queens Park. The event operates from 7pm to 10pm each night from Saturday 3rd December 2022 up to, and including Christmas Eve.

Entry is via Lindsay St, Campbell St and Godsall Streets and a gold coin donation is sought,  ‘Tap & Go’ facilities are also available at each of the three entry points.

Enjoy the traditional Christmas lights display, as well as local entertainment on stage and roving performers nightly.  Each night a BBQ will operate plus we will have a Christmas Raffles, Glo Products for sale, Free ice creams for children, popcorn for children, tea and coffee, a model train display and a minature village display. Lions Christmas Cakes and Puddings will also be there for sale.

This event provides Christmas entertainment for the whole family.  Funds raised from the Gold Coin entry goes to our local beneficiaries - Lifeline Darling Downs, Toowoomba Hospice abd Toowoomba Hospital Foundation.  Come along with your family and friends and share in the joy of Christmas.
