Reflect and Shine is a solo exhibition of new mixed media artworks and sculptures.  

Reflection is something we all do daily. We reflect on past events to improve our lives, learn from our mistakes, and shine in future endeavours. More often than not, Baxter finds himself reflecting on past challenges because these challenges have often taught him the most valuable life lessons. Like life, so too does the making of art.

In this exhibition, Stephen includes many experimental approaches developed over the four decades of his artmaking journey. He notes that there have been many failures within this creative process to arrive at what he hopes is resolved and successful creative works.

This exhibition is on display at Feather and Lawry Gallery, Toowoomba, from Monday, 17 April – 8 June.
