Are you interested in growing your own fresh herbs, vegetables, and florals? Are you looking for a more environmentally friendly use for your food waste? Do you hate watering and get back aches from digging, but enjoy the benefit and convenience of growing your own produce? Maybe you are a person that loves gardening but is looking to expand your knowledge and learn a more environmentally efficient and sustainable way to grow your own produce?
Join us for a morning at Reflections, Lake Cooby learning from our very own Michael McKeon, chatting aquaponics & composting, and enjoying some nibbles!
Michael has a degree in Biology, Teaching and Creative Arts, is a qualified arborist, and has worked in various fields including sugar cane research and microbiology in Australia and the UK. Michael is passionate about environmentally sustainable food production and waste management and is keen to promote methods such as aquaponics and composting as a way of addressing sustainability challenges in the future.
