From the launch by Dame Quentin Bryce on Thursday 14^th April, the Pittsworth community will be playing host to numerous visitors from far and wide up until Sunday 17 April. The occasion is the perfect opportunity to visit this wonderful scenic town.

Local gardening identity Penny McKinlay has invited ten Pittsworth gardeners to open their gardens for public viewing between 9am and 5pm on each of the four days. Two historic homes will also be open to the public. Various institutional gardens will be on display and the gardens in the main street will also be an attraction.

“Gardens of Pittsworth” is the second event organized by Gardens of the Downs.  President Ros Scotney said the committee had been delighted with last year’s Millmerran event where more than 500 people had visited each garden.

The hub of operations for the four days will be the Function Centre in Hume Street. All tickets must be purchased there. Plenty of volunteers will be on hand to sell tickets, assist with parking and help with map directions.
