To: | Monday 06 May 2024 |
Time: | 8:00am - 04:00pm Tuesday 26 November 2024 |
Location: | Cobb + Co Museum, 27 Lindsay Street, Toowoomba, QLD 4350 Australia |
In this three-day workshop learn the basics of the intricate trade of leatherplaiting under the expert instruction of Bill Webb.
Using kangaroo leather, you will make either an 8-strand whip or a 13-strand belt.
Kangaroo leather is often used by Australian leatherplaiters as it is one of the strongest leathers available. Its unique structure allows it to be cut very thin and still retain its strength.
