Hampton Artist, Bruce Rodger presents his solo exhibition Land of Blue and Gold .. a translation of the beauty of the Darling Downs onto canvas. Ripening grain and the harvest of early summer underpin this body of traditional work. Landscapes, golden sunrise and Downs skies convey a feeling of admiration and love for the local area. Rodger has painted since he was 12 but it is only in the last 2 years he has had the opportunity to develop his much-loved pastime into something more than a hobby. He was a semi-finalist in the Doug Moran Natinal Portrait Prize 2015, a finalist in the 2016 Stanthorpe Art Prize and winner of the 2016 Fred Gardiner Award in Toowoomba. This beautiful exhibition is well worth a visit to Rosalie Gallery, Goombungee. The exhibition will run until Sunday 27 August 2017, Gallery Hours are Wednesday to Sunday 10.30am to 3.30pm
