“Love is like a biscuit, it’s crunchy and sometimes stale…”
Emily Rub’s keen observations of blokey behaviour in pubs is rendered visible on stage for your enjoyment.
Portrait of an Artist… As a Man is a short physical comedy that explores the world of blokes. Using true stories written and performed by Emily Rub, it follows a series of vignettes taken from the life of Jack Angus, a typical Aussie bloke whose biggest worry is whether or not the pubs will be open on Good Friday.
Come join us at Jack’s Bar & Grill for a night of blokes, beers and bad behaviour.

Incubator Event
The USQ Incubator series of events and workshops showcase the raw talents of USQ students. USQ Incubator works often focus more on the development of idea’s, skills and concepts rather than a ‘polished finished product’ – this conveys a real sense of raw energy and talent!
USQ Artsworx supports the USQ Incubator series by inviting you to experience these works first hand, and have a sneak peek into the development process undertaken by our future artists.
So bring an open mind, and digest the exciting potential laid out in its purest form.
