Sacrifice. Bravery. Mateship. Horse in war is a poignant new exhibition on the sacrifice, bravery and mateship of the Queensland soldier and his horse. Through photographs, diaries and original objects, Horses in War provides a fascinating insight into the daily lives of those who worked with, and risked death alongside the 120 000 horses of the Australian Army during the First World War.
Open daily, 10am - 4pm (except Good Friday and ANZAC Day)
Curator's Tour: Wed 25 March, 15 April, 20 May, 24 June, 15 July, 26 August, 16 September from 2.30pm.
Meet the Troops. Sat 5 Sept 10am - 2pm. See the skills of the Light Horse in action with demonstrations from members of the Light Horse Darling Downs Troop.
