This exhibition of prints and drawings by Lionel Lindsay (1874-1961) concerns the artist’s connections with the British Museum; private print societies based in America; Philip Hofer at The Houghton Library, Harvard University; and other influential people and bodies in Britain and the United States – Australia’s ‘great and powerful friends’, to borrow a phrase from Prime Minister Robert Menzies, who was one of Lindsay’s own dear friends.
