'As Above' features the work of 6 artists who are heavily involved with the creative agency and co-working studio: 'Kontraband Studios' in Toowoomba. The individual practices of these artists include, painting, photography, video, ceramics, design, murals and installation. Despite diverse practices, techniques and professional experience, the artists featured in 'As Above' are not just united by close, physical proximity and constant critical discussion with each other; but also by their ongoing commitment to investigate ideas of ‘place’ and ‘memory’ within each of their artistic practices.
