A Garden Settled into Night
From:Wednesday 13 November 2024
To:Sunday 30 September 2018
Time:5:30pm - 07:00pm Wednesday 13 November 2024
Location:David's Garden, 1A Mabel St, Harlaxton, QLD 4350 Australia

An intimate dusk visit to a prize-winning Carnival of Flowers Garden, including Toowoomba's Cloud Forest Tree with the man who created it.

Nightly tours: Saturday 21st to Sunday 30th September (5.30pm to 7pm each night).

Be one of only twenty guests who watch the sunset reflected off the cliff-face, as you enjoy cheese and crackers and a drink, and feel the evening creep into the garden.  The tour of the garden is a sensual experience of the sounds, smells and feel of the garden, as the animals change guard while the garden settles into night.

The behind-the-scenes garden tour explores several of the sections of the gardens and the process of creating them, and a visit to a firefly colony resident under a giant Morton Bay Fig tree at the bottom of the garden.  Then enjoy drinks and a light meal as the Cloud Forest Tree is lit up and the importance of Cloud Forests to the Earth's ecosystem is explained.

Kids and youth will also find it fascinating!
