CELEBRATING CHESS. BRINGING FAMILIES TOGETHER. INSPIRING THE NEXT GENERATION.
MORNING SESSION: 10:30am-12:00pm - FAMILY CHESS & COACHING
An introduction to fun 'alternate' games that families may play together to reignite a passion for chess at home. Parents & children combine to play collaborative games such as 'Hand and Brain'. Coaching also for kids AND parents from some of the BEST COACHES IN THE STATE!
AFTERNOON SESSION: 12:00pm-4:30pm - GAMES & COMPS FOR KIDS
Time for the kids to play competitive rounds and fun, crazy games of chess. We'll talk about funny moments in chess history and discuss the value of chess. Participants will be challenged with games of 'Blindfold Chess' and puzzles. Participants need a foundation of knowledge of how to play chess.
