Out of Town Bus Tours - Gardens of Pittsworth

Departing from the Pittsworth Function Centre at 9am and 2pm both days. Bookings Essential and tickets can be pre-purchased at the Pittsworth Function Centre in Hume Street.

Northern Tour

This tour travels down Springside Rd to Irongate visiting "Cooleigh" property, and then climb to Mt Russell, with its lovely homestread, gardens and maginificient views of the Darling Downs.  From here the tour travels to the relocated Mt Tyson Railway station which is now a private home, and then on to a Quail farm.

Southern Tour

This tour will run through McLean Farms big complex of egg pulping and the large acreage of free range chickens being established.  Then on to Leslie's Bridge where the Leslie Brothers crossed over the Condamine in 1840. From there to see Hoods' champion lambs. North Branch Cemetery will be the next stop.  At Saals' property at Brookstead you will see and hear about the crops, the machinery, yields and the droughts and floods of our flat, fertile Darling Downs. What a big trip so no better place to pull in than the historic "Brooky Pub"
