To:Saturday 02 March 2019
Time:8:00am - 12:00pm Saturday 02 March 2019
Location:Fish Attracting Structures Construction Working Bee, Cressbrook Dam, Cressbrook Dam Road, , Qld Australia

Do you want to make fishing in Cressbrook Dam better than it is already?  If you do, come to the third fish attracting structure (FAS) construction working bee. It will be held at Cressbrook Dam on Saturday 2 March 2019 from 8 am to 12 pm. Parking is near the beach volleyball court and picnic area. Lunch will be provided afterwards. DAF staff will provide instruction on how to build different kinds of FAS. This time we will focus on drilling PVC trees, de-burring the drill holes and constructing poly-pipe spiders ready for concreting.  If we have enough materials and volunteers we will also start construction of wooden cribs and brush bundles.  Hopefully we will get a lot of PVC trees drilled and ready for their branches and for concreting into their bases by the end of this working bee.  When all the bases have been concreted we will have another working bee (March or early April) to install all the branches into the PVC trees (23 branches to a tree).
