Before the digital age comics were king!
In 1936 Lee Falk created the fictional vigilante and comic character ‘The Phantom’ who swore to fight evil without possessing any superhero powers. Commonly referred to as ‘The ghost who walks’, this comic was poured over around the globe and it is still being published in Australian newspapers as of today.
Curated by artists Peter Kingston and Dietmar Lederwasch, this exhibition presents over 40 artists who have contributed their various interpretations of The Phantom, proving that childhood obsessions are indeed hard to shake.
On display from 4 June until 10 July 2016. This exhibition contains adult themes.
