The Alliance Française de Toowoomba is celebrating Bastille Day on 14 July at the CUA Community Hub, 470 Ruthven Street, Toowoomba. Bastille Day is in fact called the 'la Fête nationale' in France and is the anniversary of the storming of the Bastille in 1789 which was a key moment of the French Revolution. In France, the day is celebrated with a large military parade along the Champs-Élysées in Paris and fireworks.

In Toowoomba, the day will be celebrated with lunch, French food, French songs, raffles and all things French. BYO alcohol. All are invited. AFT has been operating since 1960 by offering French language classes and celebrating all things French including Bastille Day, the annual release of Beaujolais wine and the Galette des Rois.
