‘Toowoomba Gardens – Then & Now’

Toowoomba is renowned as the Garden City. But how did it become this themed city?

In the next talk at the Toowoomba Historical Society Peter Cullen will discuss the formative influences of indigenous land use, private and public European-style gardens, nurserymen, garden gurus, garden competitions, and, of course, the Carnival of Flowers. The talk will be held at the Society’s Rooms at 1.30pm on Monday, 9 September 2019. All welcome. Refreshments will be served.
