The Women's Health Exhibition (WHE) is the Darling Down's flagship event for women's health. The WHE provides the chance for businesses to demonstrate to the community the support and wide range of services available for women's health across the Darling Downs and to empower women around building a toolkit to manage their health.

QENDO is the longest running endometriosis charity in Australia. We have been supporting anyone affected by endometriosis, adenomyosis, PCOS or infertility for over thirty years. We are passionate about providing awareness, education and support for women and girls, as well as their support networks and the wider community.

2019 saw the first Women’s Health Expo take place in Toowoomba, Queensland. The need for this expo was identified by noticing a lack of events targeting women’s health and the range of services available for women to take care of their health and wellbeing. Over 200 people attended the one day event, and attendees provided positive feedback regarding the expo. They felt empowered to make decisions regarding their health, and found the presentations engaging, informative and practical.

Community members in other areas said they wished an event like this happened in their location. The venue was at maximum capacity with over 40 businesses having stalls. The funds raised from the expo have allowed QENDO to continue providing support to anyone affected by endometriosis, adenomyosis, PCOS and infertility.

In 2020, the event aimed at ‘raising the flare’ on women’s health in the Darling Downs region, and encouraging women to take a stance and feel empowered, informed and in control of their health and wellbeing, and working to improve their health literacy.

In partnership with the Queensland Government, the event tickets were made free to the community which saw our attendance triple.

Two years on, the Women’s Health Expo will be making a return in 2021, on Saturday 11 September. We have sourced a larger venue, to allow us to further extend the range of exhibitors we can showcase, and to cater for an increased number of attendees.

Given the lack of women’s fertility and baby exhibition in the region, the 2021 expo will also extend to capture this demographic.
