Bring a creature into existence at one of our ‘Strange and Curious Creatures’ workshops this January!

Free | Ages 5 – 12

Well known for her lifelike sculptures of strange creatures, Melbourne-based artist Patricia Piccinini uses sculpture to realise a fantastic and compassionate vision of the world, inspired by nature, science, art history and mythology.

Inspired by her exhibition Patricia Piccinini: Curious Affection on Tour, this workshop encourages children to explore the possibilities of imagined worlds and the strange yet curious creatures that may live within.

Participants will create their own creature while exploring some of the exhibition’s key themes of love, empathy, relationships and wonderment.

Three sessions available in January:

  • Tuesday 11 January, 11am - 12pm - Booked out
  • Saturday 15 January, 11am - 12pm
  • Tuesday 18 January, 11am - 12pm

Participants must be accompanied by a vaccinated guardian. Proof of vaccination status or medical contraindication must be shown on arrival.
