The Memorial Service is to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the Battle of Milne Bay and to honour the service of the 25th Militia Battalion (The Darling Downs Regiment) and other units who fought in the Battle of Milne Bay in August-September 1942.

25^th/49^th RQR will be exercising their right to the Freedom of Entry of the City of Toowoomba.  The 25^th/49^th RQR will be marching from Godsall Street, along Hume Street, Margaret street then into Mother’s Memorial Park. 

 The Service is to be conducted at the 25th Battalion Monument in the Mother's Memorial Park off Burstow Street Toowoomba at 3pm on Saturday 27^th August 2022.

The service is to be supported by 25/49RQR and the Harlaxton Brass Band.

There is also a memorial service at St James Anglican Church, Mort and Russell Streets Toowoomba. This service commences on Sunday 28 August 7.30am and is supported by 25/49 RQR who will be parade the Battalion's Colours.
