Behind the veneer of social conservatism, Toowoomba has a long sordid past. Much of this has actually had a profound influence on Government policy and reflected the societal underbelly of Queensland – think corruption and nepotism. Some of it is downright horrendous.

Come and learn more at this month's Toowoomba Historical Society talk as member Paul Herbert takes us on a fascinating exploration of Toowoomba's 'Dark Side'.
