Join us at 5.30pm on Thursday 20 April for a Twilight Tour of More than Half the Sky. From resilience to resistance, this tour will share the stories behind the works on display.

Inspired by the unnamed maid who is portrayed in Emanuel Phillips Fox’s Déjeuner [Mother and child no. 1] (c.1910-11), but is not acknowledged in the painting’s title, this exhibition recognises that women hold up more than half the sky. All works are selected from the Gallery’s permanent collections; most are by women artists and makers.
