Wear it Purple Day is a National awareness that strives to foster supportive, safe, empowering and inclusive environments for rainbow young people.

Everyone is encouraged to wear an item of purple clothing in support of LGBTIAQ+ young people.

It's important to rembmer that Rainbow people are not just young people who exist in school; they are part of our workforce too, and it's all about creating a workplace where our TRC work family come feeling accepted and safe. 

The Wear it Purple day event in Toowoomba is a Council Youth Leader initiation which celebreates LGBTIAQ+ young people and their ally's in the Toowoomba area.

It is an opportunity to provide a safe space for vulnerable young who might not otherwise feel safe to express themselves.
