Terrain brings together ceramic work by ten students, lecturers and alumni of the University of Southern Queensland. The exhibition illustrates the breadth of possibility offered by the medium of clay both conceptually and in terms of process.
Narratives that are unique to each artist find expression through a variety of technical applications.
Directly or indirectly, each artist presents work that broadly investigates physical or psychological terrains, inviting viewers to consider how they interpret the environments of their own everyday experiences. Terrain aims to spotlight not only the diversity in contemporary ceramic making but also celebrate a unique sector of the ceramic community.
Participating artists: Jennifer Baker | Peta Berghofer | Kerrie Browning | Aurora Elwell | Rosemaree Loredo | Rachel North | Jane Orme | Peter Osborn | Johanna Park | David Usher
