Le Beaujolais Nouveau est arrivé!
Beaujolais Nouveau is a French tradition - a special young red wine made from the Gamay grapes produced in the Beaujolais region of France. It is released once a year on the third Thursday of each November, and ships all over the world - described as "one of the most frivolous and animated rituals in the wine world"!
At the Bonjour Toowoomba School we will be holding a special event to celebrate the occasion. The night will involve French music, French cheese tasting with traditional mâchon (Beaujolais morning/afternoon tea) nibbles, and French bread. We will also have (bien sûr!) Beaujolais Nouveau and 'not-so-Nouveau', and soft drinks.
Tickets will cost $17 per person ($15 for students and staff), and the event is open to everyone - members of the public included!
