After almost three years establishing networks and assisting past residents to write stories about growing up around Cooladdi, the Cooladdi Kids Book will be launched at Cooladdi and then Charleville 8th and 10th November 2015.

On Friday November 13th between 10am - 2pm the editor (Pamela Jackson) will conduct a book sign and meet and greet at the Toowoomba Visitor Information Centre.

The publication Cooladdi Kids provides authenticity because it is about life at Cooladdi written by people who grew up in the district.  Cooladdi Kids provides a social history for the district.  With once a population of 250-300, nowadays Cooladdi is a ghost town.  Writing social history is one way that he district can preserve its social heritage in Australian.

To place Cooladi in the spotlight with a publication provides the communityw ith something tangible to share.  As people in the district face current challenges and difficult times a project like this provides an uplifting source of joy.  Cooladdi Kids is light and entertaining and contains stories, anecdotes and pictures of times and events told by contributors who have experienced Cooladdi in all its seasons.
