This workshop concentrates on art of the type that would be bought by a fantasy book publisher, a computer gaming publisher or that would be created by a concept artist working for a film or TV producer. The emphasis in this workshop is on the skills of the figurative fine artist, creating and gathering visual reference, use of visual aids, principles of picture composition, traditional methods of painting (acrylic, oil paint, mixed media) and new digital painting techniques using programs like Adobe Photoshop.
