From:Thursday 10 October 2024
To:Thursday 10 October 2024
Time:9:30am - 04:30pm Thursday 10 October 2024
Location:Burke and Wills Hotel, 554 Ruthven Street, Toowoomba, Qld 4350 Australia

Everyone can work!  Having a job is an important part of a good life.  It allows us to earn a living, meet people, use our skills and learn new ones.

This workshop is for people with disability who want to work in open employment but have found that the traditional pathways don’t always lead to the jobs you want. In this interactive workshop, get started in working out what sort of job would be right for you, and learn about different ways to work towards it, even if it means creating a job yourself.

Who Should Attend?

This workshop is is for adults with disability who want to work. It will be particularly useful for people with developmental disabilities, their families, friends and workers. Whether you have just started thinking about work, or are interested in trying or doing something different, this workshop is for you!

Although you are welcome to come on your own, we encourage you to invite a family member, friend or support worker to join you to help with planning on the day.

Everyone who attends the workshop will need to be registered, but if the cost is a barrier to attending or bringing supporters along with you, then please get in touch to discuss with us.
