Footy Fever 2015 - A Gathering Of Cultures.  Different Countries, Different Cultures, One Community, is a wonderful community initiative aimed at bringing together the community to celebrate the diverse range of cultures in Oakey and the Darling Downs region.  Through the event, we hope to put on a fun day that builds community spirit and community cohesiveness.  Two friendly footy matches will be the highlight of the day, at 4pm a Rugby League game - The Pacific Island All Stars vs Aboriginal All Stars and then at 6pm a Soccer Match - Brazilian Community of Oakey vs Solomon Islands Community.  The day will have a range of activities and entertainment for all the family and community including: Community Stalls, Food from different cultures, Traditional Dancing from Culture Groups, Live Bands, DJ, Fun activities for kids and much more. 

The event will be held on Saturday the 7th of March 2015 at the Oakey Football Grounds on Kent Street, Oakey QLD 4401.  Gates open from 11:30am and is a Gold Coin Donation. Extra funds raised will help groups or projects supporting Cultural Diversity in the region.
