In August 2015 my father handed me an empty book of handmade paper from his recent trip to Bhutan.

He told me to do a drawing on every single page.

It was a gift and instructions from a kind and loving father who knew his daughter was experiencing a tumultuous time. I was experiencing a difficult chapter in my life and took to drawing in the book as a form of therapy. A drawing took place in every page and soon a narrative was revealed; the documentation of an ended relationship and new beginnings.

To exhibit just a book is difficult, so selected drawings are recreated and reworked and transformed into hanging fabric scrolls. Watch the story unfold from heart ripping anguish to a quiet strong hope.
