Step out with friends and family on Sunday 22 May 2016 and take part in Two Feet and a Heartbeat, a Charity Walk to help beat Childhood Heart Disease – the leading cause of infant death in Australia.

Did you know the human heart begins to beat at 21 days after conception? The Two Feet and a Heartbeat course is 2.1km long, a simple reminder that we all have a heart beating inside us capable of so much, we just need to take the first step.

Why participate in Two Feet and Heartbeat?

Because eight babies are born with a heart defect in Australia each day and sadly every week 4 children will die from Childhood Heart Disease.

HeartKids Queensland has been standing beside families affected by Childhood Heart Disease for over 30 years giving help and hope. Now we need your two feet to stand with us as we move closer to finding the cause and the cure for Australia’s leading birth abnormality. When and where is Two Feet and a Heartbeat Charity Walk?

The walk will take place across Queensland on Sunday 22nd of May 2016.

The walk will take place in Brisbane, Cairns, Ipswich, Gold Coast, Mackay, Maryborough, Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba and Townsville.

The walk will be followed by a short ceremony to remember the Heart Angles who have lost there lives to Childhood Heart Disease, plus a BBQ and family activities.
