The Jim Miller Big Band was conducted by local man Jim Miller (1926 - 2012) who joined the RAFF towards the end of the Second World War, a period when big bands and swing music was popular.

He began collecting big band arrangements and mastered various instruments including saxophone, clarinet, trumpet, trombone and string bass.  This knowledge gave him a wonderful understanding of how the various sections of the band combined.  The band has been part of the Toowoomba Music scene for over twenty years, playing at various functions and Music in the Park.

Also appearing will be experienced swing vocalist Greg Bird and rising star Nina Trease.
