Toowoomba Clubhouse and Oakey House will be hosting a Community Walk and BBQ on Sunday the 28th of August from 11am as part of their Thrive Community Companionship Program. All participants will be rewarded with a free BBQ at the Queensland Railway yards at the end of the walk. The walk will begin at Gordon Park in Lorrimer Street, Oakey.

This event is designed to raise awareness of Mental Health Recovery in regional and rural communities and to reduce incidence of rural stoicism which prevents many sufferers from seeking help.

Walk, run, ride your bike, bring your four legged friends...its not about how you make the journey but about who you meet along the way.
