From:Thursday 06 October 2016
To:Thursday 06 October 2016
Time:5:30pm -  Thursday 06 October 2016
Location:Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery, 531 Ruthven Street, Toowoomba, QLD 4350 Australia

The nationally significant Lionel Lindsay Gallery and Library Collection is one of Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery’s permanent historic collections. The Lindsay Collection is also known as the Bolton Collection because it was assembled by Toowoomba-based entrepreneur and philanthropist W.R.F. (Bill) Bolton (1905-1973).

Most of the oil paintings that Bolton acquired either represent scenes of refreshment and rest, or invite us to rest and refresh ourselves in meditative acts of viewing. Repose features oils by Rupert Bunny, E. Phillips Fox, George W. Lambert, Percy Lindsay, John Mather, Frederick McCubbin, Tom Roberts and Arthur Streeton, together with thematically related prints by Lionel Lindsay.

Join us for a Twilight tour on Thursday 6 October starting at 5:30pm. This is a free event and all are welcome. RSVP to the Gallery by Noon Tuesday 4 October 2016.

Repose: Treasures from the Lindsay Collection will be on display from 13 August until 8 January 2017.
