One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest

USA, 1975.

A clash of misfits and anti-heroes, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest is a deserving Hollywood classic.

A wry non-conformist classic and the film that won Jack Nicholson his first Oscar as the anti-establishment anti-hero McMurphy, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest remains a powerful cat-and-mouse game of wit and lunacy. Set in the microcosm of an insane asylum, McMurphy (Nicholson) feigns mental illness to reprieve himself from prison duty. In captivity, the free-spirited McMurphy challenges the iron hand of asylum authority, the indomitable Nurse Ratched, in a dance of comedy and tragedy.
