Toowoomba Region’s parks and gardens celebrate the 2020 Parks Week from 7-15 March. Parks Week is an opportunity to highlight our regions parks and open spaces, and get people out of their living rooms and enjoying their neighbourhood parks and open recreation spaces.

Spending time in our parks and gardens can positively influence your wellbeing. Our parks also provide environmental benefits to our Region, and build more connected communities by providing places where people come together for leisure.

Toowoomba Region advocates a healthy and active lifestyle, and visiting parks is great for your physical health and mental wellbeing. There’s a great range of activities for families to get out and about in parks across the region, including various CHANGE Project activities, walks and trails, and outdoor recreation opportunities.

Parks Week is celebrated throughout Australia and New Zealand as a combined initiative of New Zealand Recreation Association and Parks and Leisure Australia.
