Come join the circus!

To complement their upcoming shows at Artsworx Toowoomba, the cast of Casus Circus’ Driftwood is offering a circus skills workshop, for those eager explore the art of ‘circus’, and a future touring artist workshop, for those looking to break into the performing arts industry.

Circus Skills Workshop – 21 November

Being held at Dance Central Toowoomba, this workshop will allow participants to explore the intersection of dance, circus arts and acrobatics. Participants will build trust by working together, while learning the mechanics of modern circus. The workshop will also include improvisation techniques and tools, building participants confidence and encouraging creativity.

Workshop details:
These workshops are $10 each or $35 with a ticket to your choice of Casus Circus Toowoomba show.  

Secondary Students workshop for students grade 9 – 12.
9.30am – 10.30am at Dance Central Toowoomba (3 Taylor St, Toowoomba).
Only open to secondary school students.

Open class (17+).
11.30am – 12.30pm at Dance Central Toowoomba (3 Taylor St, Toowoomba).

Future Touring Artist Workshop with Casus Circus – 23 November FREE workshop

To be held at USQ Artsworx, this workshop is for those who want to tour the world as an artist.

You’ll meet the cast of Casus Circus’ Driftwood.  As professional artists, this team has gained accolades and critics 5 stars for their production Driftwood across Europe from Scotland to France to Germany as well as at major Festivals in Australia.

Hear about the worthy, wicked and wondrous life of an independent artist. Learn what it is to take a risk on your own abilities, pull an audiences, trek the world and make a living.
