This exhibition brings together works from the Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery Collections that connect to the living culture of our First Nations. There are items that clearly reference the past and others that are contemporary. Shown together these works reflect a culture that is constantly reinventing itself. Each artist represented has a connection to Country from Kimberley and the west through the Central Desert to urban east coast locations. The sense of place is at once local and universal. The stories come from shared experience and reflect the artists’ spiritual homes regardless of where each individual is geographically located.
Join us for a Twilight Tour of this exhibition on Thursday 19 July 2018 @ 5.30pm.
This is a free event and all are welcome. RSVP to the Gallery by Tuesday 17 July 2018.
